Visiting my parents for my mom's 60th birthday.

30 Jul: Coffee and Cake

We had rented the Seminarhaus Remetschwiel, located a 15 minute drive from Waldshut away. We took the cars there; bringing along food, bedding, tables and tableclothes. After we'd prepared the place around quarter past two / 2:30 the guests started arriving for coffee and cake.

30 Jul: Hiking

Out for a two hour hike along the "Rosenwanderweg" through the black forest landscape to Brunnadern. Coming back, we enjoyed sitting in the warm evening sun.

30 Jul: The evening

After the hike, we enjoyed a plentiful meal with the contributed salads everyone had brought along. Suzanne gave us a presentation of her last ten years' highlights, Ingrid started a "guess the song from the melody" game and us kids simulate a day in the Remetschwiel "Dorfschule" for the foreign exchange student Suzanne, before we lit a bonfire at midnight and toasted for the birthday child!
