Collection: Mallorca

Our vacation on Majorca (yes, that is its English spelling, "Mallorca" being the native-language one). Only a two-hour flight away from Frankfurt, this island in the mediterranean offered what we needed: Warm (but not too hot) weather, sunshine, relaxing at the beach, quietness and a care-free hotel stay.

	16 Jul: The first day (45 images in 6 chapters) Our flight from Frankfurt to Palma, arriving at the Hotel in Colònia de Sant Jordi, a small and quiet town in the southeast of the island.
	18 Jul: Colónia: Evening Walk (27 images in 1 chapters) Out for an evening stroll along the harbor of Colónia Sant Jordi.
	19 Jul: Tour de Mallorca, day 1 (71 images in 6 chapters) We rented a car for three days from a local place in Colònia Sant Jordi - our first tour taking us through the eastern part of Majorca - Santanyí - S'horta - Porto Cristo (seeing the "Dragon Caves" there) - Cala Millor - Capdepera, and back via Artà - Manacor and Felanitx (the "x" is pronounced like "sh" in "shoe").
	20 Jul: Tour de Mallorca, day 2 (96 images in 5 chapters) Our second day trip took us westward - Campos - LLucmajor - around Palma, with a stop in Peguera, and over the hills on coast road MA-10 past Andtrax towards Port de Sóller, where the historic railway coming from Palma ends.
	21 Jul: Tour de Mallorca, day 3 (84 images in 5 chapters) On the third and last day of our island tour we went to see the city of Palma, the "La Seu" cathedral, the old downtown area with literally hundreds of narrow alleys, and the other end of the "Ferrocarril de Sóller" historic train.
	21 Jul: Tour de Mallorca, day 3, take 2 (25 images in 2 chapters) After having been exposed to so much "city", we wanted to see some more landscape, and headed north past Inca towards Alcúdia, and finally down south via Can Picafort (named after a Dutch guy nicknamed "Picafort", or "strong beater"), Petra, Porreres and Campos back to our hotel.
	23 Jul: Colónia: Shopping (43 images in 3 chapters) Isabelle went out to shop for small presents for her friends, so I took my camera and caught some of the area around the "Placa Constitution", the "Avinguda Primavera" and the "Carrer Gabriel Roca" (the seafront road).

	09 Jul: The preparation (27 images in 4 chapters) Sarah, Tobi, Anna, Isabelle, Ingrid, Jan, my parents and me transformed the boatshouse's exercise room into a party room, decorating the tables in red and white.
	10 Jul: The ceremony (64 images in 3 chapters) The official part of the wedding took place in the registrar's office in Tiengen, located in the pedestrian zone.
	10 Jul: The party (86 images in 8 chapters) Back in the boatshouse, we started with a champagne reception, went over to coffee and cake, and - with a clear blue sky and hot weather - were thankful to jump into the Rhine river to cool off before having dinner later.
