On Saturday, we took the cars to Titisee-Neustad, a really touristy place, to walk around the town a bit. Later that afternoon, we went for a hike at the Schluchsee; finishing off the day with a barbecue back at the vacation house.

Out for a weekend with friends in a vacation home in the Black Forest. We headed out from Karlsruhe after work, arriving at Brenden, the small village the house is in, for dinner.

Our vacation on Majorca (yes, that is its English spelling, "Mallorca" being the native-language one). Only a two-hour flight away from Frankfurt, this island in the mediterranean offered what we needed: Warm (but not too hot) weather, sunshine, relaxing at the beach, quietness and a care-free hotel stay.
